Will my job exist in 5 years?
Estimates the disruption pressure on your role over five years, and shows which forces are pushing it up and which are protecting you.
Questions we get asked
How is this calculated?
Seven weighted factors: automation exposure, technology disruption, skill currency, market demand, industry disruption, employer stability and internal mobility. Automation exposure comes from published task-based research rather than our own opinion. Every weight is published in our methodology.
Is a high score a prediction that I will lose my job?
No. It estimates disruption pressure on a role, not an outcome for a person. Two people in the same role with the same score routinely end up in very different places, and the factors you can act on are listed alongside the number for exactly that reason.
Why does the result show factors in two directions?
Market demand and internal mobility protect you rather than threaten you. Showing them in the same column as risk factors would misrepresent them, so they push the other way on the axis.
What are the limits of this estimate?
Exposure is occupation-level, not individual. Employer stability is inferred from company size alone. Salary and demand coverage is stronger in the US and EU than in India. We show a confidence figure with every result rather than implying precision we do not have.
