Why does a big gap sometimes rank below a smaller one?
Gaps are ranked by importance multiplied by size. A large gap on a skill the role barely needs matters less than a moderate gap on a skill it depends on, so we sequence by weighted impact rather than raw distance.
How accurate are the timelines?
They assume deliberate practice at the hours a week you set, and they scale with that number. Treat them as an order of magnitude. Real elapsed time is nearly always longer than planned time.
What if I skip some skills?
Unrated skills are excluded from the calculation rather than treated as zero, and the remaining ones are reweighted. Your confidence figure drops to reflect the thinner input.
